Our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny reflects the growing demand for Abbott's global Diabetes Care products. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping people live more fully at all stages of their lives.

As Shipping Lead, you will supervise the daily operations of the shipping department and finished goods warehouse, ensuring all goods are stored and shipped efficiently and safely.

• Supervise shipping team and finished goods warehouse
• Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared in line with country specific shipping requirements
• Maintain records of all dispatched goods
• Schedule transport for shipments
• Ensure inventory accuracy in finished goods warehouse and investigate any discrepancies
• Ensure cycle count procedures are followed in line with company policy
• Ensure 5S is maintained in the finished goods warehouse
• Implement and lead process improvement projects
• Maintain relationships with logistics partners to ensure efficient shipping solutions
• Resolve any shipping-related queries or issues
• Maintain and update work instructions and SOP's for shipping department

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 3rd Level Degree in Supply Chain, Business Engineering or similar
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in warehouse/shipping operations
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP experience preferred but not essential

This role reports to Kevin Walters, our Supply Chain Manager, and is part of a growing team of 10.
