Job Summary: Join a global logistics firm as a Financial Accountant in the Mayo/Roscommon/South Sligo region. Key responsibilities include month-end close process, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in month-end close process and preparation of Prophix uploads.
- Post journals for accruals/prepayments and Cost Centre and GL corrections.
- Review and update monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations with supporting schedules.
- Review GLs and explain variances from Forecast, Prior Year, and month on month movements.
- Support creditor payments and review fixed assets.
- Reconcile Sales and Finance Apps and ensure queries are dealt with effectively.
- Assist with year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation.
- Support special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA).
- SAP accounting software experience required.
- Understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Experience managing workload, highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
