Job Description

Our Client, an Educational Institution, is looking to hire an Events Administrator on a full-time temporary contract until 30^th November.

The Events Administrator will contribute to supporting the planning and delivery of training events nationally, including the promotion of events on social media.

The ideal candidate:

1. Previous experience with event management platforms such as Eventbrite and survey software to gather event feedback.
2. Possess strong skills in coordinating logistics, including liaising with speakers, managing itineraries, gathering bios and talk titles.
3. Occasionally arranging travel, accommodation, catering, and venues for in-person events. For online events, experience with Zoom or other webinar software is essential.
4. Proficiency in social media management, particularly for platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as experience with WordPress for editing and updating event webpages.
5. The candidate should be able to work both independently and within a diverse team spanning two national infrastructures and ensure seamless event execution.

Skills Required:

1. Demonstrable experience in organising educational/outreach events.
2. Evidence of ability to meet project requirements and work across multiple projects.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with multiple audiences (for example, researchers, funding agency staff, students, members of the public, and patients) is essential.
5. Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, manage workflows, and deliver objectives.
6. Demonstrable experience in social media communication.
7. An ability to work independently and with a high level of professionalism; important to add feeding back into a team also.
8. Demonstrated competence in digital communication platforms, i.e., Social Media Channels.
9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
