Job Description

Business Continuity Management Officer responsible for developing and maintaining a business continuity management system to mitigate unavailability risk and minimize the impact of potential business disruptions.

Deutsche Börse Group is a leading global exchange organization, and this role is part of its Clearstream division.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a business continuity management system (BCMS) processes and related governance framework to ensure Clearstream's Funds segment is prepared for and can respond to incidents.
  • Coordinate yearly Business Impact Analysis assessments to identify mission critical activities and develop Business Continuity Plans.
  • Coordinate the execution and reporting of BCM related tests.
  • Review and advise on key projects and change processes.
  • Develop and maintain an incident & crisis management process as interface to BCM.
  • Interact with other control functions such as Information Security and Outsourcing.
  • Provide guidance related to business continuity plans and interdependencies, foster awareness and facilitate a proactive involvement of business areas in business continuity management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during BCM related audits.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on BCM and risk management activities to relevant committees and governance bodies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business continuity management within the financial services sector.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of Business Continuity Management practices and protocols, including relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge in Incident & Crisis management process for complex organizations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.
