Job Description

Our client is seeking to recruit on the Accounts Payable team, someone who can thrive in a busy/changing organisation and can lead and solve issues with our remote shared service centre.


This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate excellent in-depth understanding of accounts payable in general and drive/implement KPIs to track and measure results.

The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can fit in seamlessly and adopt a hands-on approach to their role.


Key Responsibilities:

Invoicing:

  • Ensure that the AP team processes all Supplier Invoices within the timescale.
  • Help AP team resolve any issues/discrepancies on pending AP Invoice/Credit Notes.
  • Ensure that all query invoices are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Identify root cause issues and implement solutions with the processing team.

Reconciliations:

  • Review and approve creditors reconciliations.
  • Ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Identify root cause issues and implement solutions with the reconciling team.
  • Capacity to analyze complex/large data and find relevant issues.

Supervision:

  • Ensure that policies and procedures for the AP process are followed by our outsource partners.
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly AP performance reports.
  • Review the closing AP ledger in accordance with the month-end/quarter-end close timetable.

Budgeting:

  • Budget holder reviews-preparation of monthly accrual/prepayments.
  • Help set future budgets.

Other:

  • Oversee ongoing projects to solve AP related system interface issues.
  • Payments reviewer and approver (RCT).
  • Preparation & assistance with year-end audit.
  • Office management skills.

  • Hold a minimum of 4 years relevant experience and proven track record in Accounts Payable.
