Job Description
A boutique investment firm in Dublin is seeking an Investment Analyst to help manage its portfolio of direct investments across various asset classes.
This role involves working closely with senior research analysts and the CEO/CIO to oversee the family office's investments and operations.
Main responsibilities include:
- Assisting senior research analysts in their daily tasks
- Conducting detailed research on potential direct equity investments
- Analyzing and assessing the risk/reward profile of investment opportunities
- Collecting and processing key financial and market data
- Creating valuations based on different scenarios
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Developing financial models in Excel
- Monitoring and reviewing ongoing information related to investments
- Researching and addressing new or existing investment issues
- Trading equities directly or through brokers
- Utilizing Bloomberg terminals for market analysis
- Offering informed opinions on existing and potential investments
- Assisting with legal due diligence for specific investments
- Working with external accountants for year-end reporting and tax compliance
- Handling administrative tasks
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for financial markets and investments, with a background in equity research, corporate finance, equity sales & trading, private wealth management, or family office investing.
Achieving ACA/CFA/CIMA qualifications is advantageous but not required.
The role requires strong technical skills in financial analysis and valuation, as well as self-motivation and the ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
