**Project Worker**
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Worker to join our team at High Park Family Hub in Dublin 9. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting families in Supported Temporary Accommodation to secure long-term accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admit families to the service and provide a comprehensive induction and welcome
- Support families in establishing tenancies by identifying suitable properties, contacting landlords and letting agencies, and negotiating with landlords
- Accompany families to property viewings and ensure that the property meets safety standards and is well-maintained
- Assist families in understanding and completing their Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) and tenancy agreement
- Develop and implement support plans with families and update the Pathway Accommodation & Support System (PASS) as necessary
- Facilitate access to local services, such as medical, welfare, training, education, and employment, and advocate on behalf of families
- Build relationships with local services and agencies and maintain accurate written records and reports
- Adhere to professional boundaries and work in a professional manner at all times
Requirements:
- Relevant Level 7 Qualification (e.g. Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, Housing & Welfare)
- Knowledge of Pathways to Home, HAP, HNAs, and SLI
- Minimum one year of experience working in the area of homelessness and knowledge of homelessness causes, homeless services, addiction, and mental health
- Experience in managing complex and challenging situations in a client-based service
- Working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection
- Ability to treat clients in a non-judgmental and respectful manner
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Highly motivated, reliable, and flexible with ability to work on a roster that includes evening and weekend work
