Job Description
Quality Assurance Officer sought to establish, implement, and maintain the National Virus Reference Laboratory's Quality System, ensuring compliance with ISO15189 and EU legislative requirements.
The National Virus Reference Laboratory is a principal diagnostic and reference service for clinicians investigating virus infections, offering approximately 170 tests for 45 different pathogens.
The laboratory provides a 24/7 clinical and technical on-call service to support the National Transplant Programme and is accredited by the World Health Organisation, College of American Pathologists, and Irish National Accreditation Board.
The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for:
- Establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality System
- Ensuring compliance with ISO15189 and EU legislative requirements
- Reviewing and improving the Quality System
The successful candidate will have a salary scale of €69,288-€85,100 per annum and will be appointed on a 5-year temporary basis.
