Seeking experienced Site Engineer to oversee construction activities, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Our client is a leading main contractor in the North East of Ireland, with a strong pipeline of working projects growing at a positive rate.
The current opportunity is for aspiring or proven Site Engineers to join an established project and team, becoming the lead engineer on site.
The suitable candidate will work directly with the Contracts Manager, supporting client meetings and site supervision.
The client book is strong, promising security, working nationally on some of the largest flagship projects in Ireland.
The order book/projects to tender boast a number of projects within construction: Residential Developments, Data Centres, and Commercial Builds.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, including providing technical inputs and resolving technical issues.
- Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Liaise with the project manager, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth progress of the construction project.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site reports, records, and documentation.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure the workmanship meets the required standards.
- Monitor and manage the use of materials, equipment, and resources on site to optimize productivity and minimize wastage.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the site team and subcontractors as required.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, work plans, and method statements.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer in the residential construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively manage a site team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different project sites as required.

Salary: €95,000 to €100,000 Per Annum
