Job Description
We seek dedicated and compassionate social care workers to join our team at a new children's residential facility in Co. Monaghan. The successful candidate will provide high-quality social care in a safe and therapeutic environment, working directly with young people to develop a therapeutic, professional, and caring relationship. Key responsibilities include accompanying young people to appointments and outings, assisting with educational plans, and participating in daily handovers and team meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a therapeutic relationship with young people to meet their physical, psychological, social, and emotional needs.
- Accompany young people to appointments, meetings, holidays, and outings.
- Work in partnership with young people and their families to build and maintain relationships.
- Assist in the development of educational plans and support participation in recreational activities.
- Participate in daily handovers, team meetings, and other meetings as required.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records and reports for individual young people and the daily activities of the home.
- Inform line management of any concerns regarding the welfare of young people.
Requirements:
- Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in a relevant field, such as social care, social work, or health and social.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Experience working with children and young people in care or a residential setting (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work in a regulated activity, care for, and supervise young persons.
Working Conditions:
- Shift patterns may include evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
- The role may require waking nights depending on the needs and risks presented by the young people.
