About The Role
The Bid Writer will be responsible for developing high-quality persuasive proposals to secure contracts within the natural resources and process engineering sectors. This role requires close collaboration with technical teams project managers and senior stakeholders to translate complex technical information into clear compelling and compliant bid documents that meet client requirements and align with company standards.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Bid Development: Create write and edit bid responses and proposals that clearly communicate the company's technical capabilities ensuring they are compliant with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams including engineers and project managers to gather and verify technical information for bids.
  • Bid Strategy: Develop and contribute to bid strategies by understanding client needs the competitive landscape and company strengths.
  • Content Management: Maintain a library of reusable content case studies and technical data ensuring consistency and accuracy across all bid documents.
  • Deadlines: Manage multiple projects simultaneously delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Post-Bid Analysis: Support debriefs after bid submissions to identify opportunities for improvement in future proposals.

  • Research and Analysis: Strong research skills to understand client needs market trends and competitors tailoring bids effectively.
  • Prioritisation: Ability to prioritise tasks balancing multiple responsibilities to meet tight deadlines.

You Will Have
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering English Communications Business or a related field.
  • An understanding of engineering principles is advantageous.
  • Experience: Previous experience in construction or engineering sectors.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Great attention to detail ensuring the quality of all bid materials.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent in using various IT packages e.g. Microsoft Office.
