Financial Accountant
Woodie's, Ireland's leading DIY, Home & Garden retailer, seeks a driven Financial Accountant to join its Support Office Finance team in Dublin.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially astute individual to support the team in preparing and analyzing financial information, managing budgets, and providing insights to inform business decisions.
About the Role:
- Prepare and analyze financial information, including nominal ledger cost analysis and margin reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts and prepare company and group reporting information packs
- Assist with annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, and year-end processes
- Present financial results to leadership team and analyze data to identify trends and fluctuations
- Collaborate with all departments to support financial data-driven decision making
- Improve finance systems and processes, and provide cover for other finance team members as needed
- Support business projects and initiatives as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA) with commercial experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of MS Office products
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a 'can do' approach
- Commercial awareness and a desire to progress to a senior level in industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior management
