Job Description

Abbott is seeking a HR Business Partner to support the Human Resources function and community relations activities for the Cootehill Plant.

This role will involve working closely with business leaders to improve HR systems and processes, as well as driving business process improvements in the area of HR.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.
  • Report any current or potential hazards to your immediate supervisor/dept. manager immediately.
  • Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times.
  • Consult SOP's for any job task and ensure full understanding and adherence.
  • Work closely with business leaders to support HR functional areas.
  • Run and report key performance indicators, including Absenteesim Rates, Overtime Rates, and Working Time Act Reports.
  • Deliver business process improvements in the area of HR.
  • Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with key HR partners.
  • Support employees navigating Workday and myHR.
  • Drive improvements to plant communication process.
  • Co-ordinate plant recognition programme and activities for Abbott Excellence Programme.
  • Proactively identify and address changes in the business landscape.
  • Translate corporate HR strategic initiatives into actionable plans.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with HR practice centre teams.
  • Provide accurate and timely support and guidance to the business.
  • Champion ER initiatives within the business.
  • Support site Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
  • Provide administrative support and duties to the HR Manager.

Education and Knowledge Required:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management and CIPD certified.
  • Good employee and industrial relations experience.
  • Previous experience within an established HR environment.
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Good exposure to the full suite of HR activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to deliver on multiple projects.
  • Flexible and innovative approach to work.

Accountability / Scope:

  • Where advice is required for employee relations issues that could cause production stoppage or delays.
