Logistics Lead Job Description
We are seeking a Logistics Lead to join our team at EOS IT Solutions, a global technology and logistics company. As a Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for leading the IT Logistics operations team in delivering day-to-day operations, health and safety, service, accuracy, and cost KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT Logistics operations team(s) on the delivery of day-to-day operations, health and safety, service, accuracy, and cost KPIs.
- Take a hands-on approach to work as well as coordinating and delegating tasks across the team.
- Ensure exceptional performance levels on site across all areas of the operation, including goods in, processing, inventory control, fulfillment, picking, imaging, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure the team undertakes all tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with cross-functional teams to provide the best possible service and cost to our customers.
- Lead the team to ensure targets outlined by IT Logistics Business Plans are met, including delivery of KPIs, values, and people processes.
- Support the IT Logistics teams to attract, acquire, retain, and develop the necessary talent to continuously improve team performance and capability.
- Support the preparation and gathering of information for reports or documentation to be shared with key stakeholders.
- Play a key part in delivering best-in-class operations and share best practice internally with the EOS teams.
- Seek out and implement waste reduction initiatives.
- Develop a strong team ethos and help create a positive and fun working environment.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous management experience working within logistics or retail is advantageous.
- 3-5 years' experience leading a team in a challenging environment while delivering results.
- Experience handling IT hardware, including laptops, phones, cables, and wires, is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player, willing to take a hands-on approach to the role.
