Job Description
As a Mechanical Construction Manager, oversee and direct construction projects, review project schedules, estimate costs, and ensure compliance with building and safety regulations. Lead commissioning activities and conduct regular safety and quality walks. The role requires a Mechanical trade or Engineering background, 5+ years experience, excellent communication and organisation skills, and proficiency in CAD & BIM (Autocad, Revit, Navisworks) and MS Office/Excel. Key Responsibilities:
- Determine project schedule needs and provide support in the completion of project schedules, 12 weeks look aheads, and reporting on site progress.
- Conduct regular safety walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
- Conduct regular quality walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
- Lead commissioning activities ensuring timely completion and reporting of roadblocks and follow up to ensure prompt closure.
- Mechanical trade or Engineering background
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Familiarity with CAD & BIM (Autocad, Revit, Navisworks)
- Excellent IT skills required - MS Office/Excel
- A knowledge of database systems such as Filemaker would be advantageous
