Overhaul Project Manager sought to lead large capital overhaul projects and enhance project management capability in a purpose-led company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large capital overhaul projects, maintaining and enhancing project management capability, and delivering the 2026-2029 Major Overhauls in Poolbeg Power Station.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating as part of the wider Dublin Stations management team to deliver against targets in the Dublin Stations Business Plan.
- Delivering the 2026-2029 Major Overhaul at Poolbeg Power Station.
- Managing a multi-disciplinary Project and Engineering team and fostering a culture of team spirit, shared knowledge, and mentoring.
- Managing delivery of projects, including safety management, schedule management, cost management, and contractor management.
- Ensuring technical training and development plans are in place to maintain skills within the team.
- Leading project management for overhauls/projects and providing leadership and oversight to the project teams.
- Ensuring overhauls and projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Ensuring overhauls are delivered in line with ESB Long Term Asset Plans and ESB Technical Standards.
- Managing relationships with relevant stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Supporting internal/external communications and collaboration activities.
- Providing overhaul financial reporting to ESB Project Board and Overhaul Program Board.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in working on and delivering Major Overhauls of CCGT Power plant.
- Experience with ESB's Project Delivery Methodology or alternate project management processes.
- Experience in leading the preparation of technical specifications.
- A proven ability to lead, empower, and motivate staff to achieve optimum performance.
- Project Management and/or other professional qualifications.
Qualifications:
- A primary engineering degree or equivalent work experience is essential.
