Senior Orthoptist Required - Regional Hospital Mullingar
Cpl in partnership with the HSE are seeking a Senior Orthoptist to join the team in Regional Hospital Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work within Regional Hospital Mullingar and the Community as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to patient care.
* Promote good ophthalmic health and quality of life for all patients who attend the service.
* Provide a comprehensive and high-quality Ophthalmic Service to patients locally in conjunction with other members of the Ophthalmic Team.
* Conduct Orthoptic assessment and treatments for children and adults across the three sites of Mullingar, Longford, and Athlone.
The Candidate:
* Must have a B.Sc (Hons) in Orthoptics from Glasgow Caledonian University, University of Liverpool, or University of Sheffield, or a validated equivalent qualification.
* Must be registered as an Orthoptist with the Health & Care Professionals Council UK (HCPC).
* Must have 3 years full-time post-qualification clinical experience.
* Must have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Health and Character Requirements:
* Must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a good state of health.
* Must be of good character.
