Account Manager - Insurance Sales

Aviva is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its Sales & Distribution team, focusing on growing and developing core profitable product ranges within the broker market.

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with intermediaries to deliver agreed sales targets by product line, conversion rates, and retention.
  • Develop a deep understanding of intermediaries and their customers' objectives, business needs, and areas of opportunities for Aviva to grow.
  • Develop new intermediaries to widen Aviva's support base.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal stakeholders in Aviva.
  • Gain a deep understanding of competitors' proposition and pricing to be more effective in the role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all activities and outputs to ensure customers are treated fairly.
  • Ensuring all regulatory requirements are adhered to.
  • Developing and maintaining a professional environment with role model behaviors, strong team communication, focus on customer relationships, high productivity, and proactivity that adds value.

Requirements:

  • Minimum QFA qualification and ideally RPA or SIA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Full understanding of the Ireland Life & Pensions market.
  • Good knowledge of Aviva's product range, including core profitable products.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Exemplary relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive industry experience, ideally with a role dealing directly with brokers.
  • Experience of managing complex relationships, taking ownership, and resolving potential issues.
  • Understanding and experience of a corporate environment, including working within agreed governance and risk policies/guidelines.
