Our client a wonderful Charity based in Dublin City are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team on a contract basis with a view to permanency.
The role of the assistant Financial Controller is to manage, with the financial controller, the financial affairs of the organisation.
They will assist with providing high levels of support, oversight, responsibility and compliance that the Finance Department is expected to provide.
The position will report directly to the FC and will play an important role in the implementation of the overall strategic plan, ensuring that a strong internal control environment is maintained and continuously improved.
Align the activities of the Finance Team to the overall company vision, mission, and objectives while always ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
Manage the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements, and external auditors Interact with internal and external stakeholders on all financial related matters Help manage the preparation of annual budgets, in collaboration with the FC and Senior Management Team Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly accounting and financial reports Ensure books are prepared for Audit and liaise with external Auditors Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets in consultation with the FC.
Make recommendations on efficiencies and cost savings where appropriate.

Knowledge (Education & Related Experience): Appropriate professional qualification (ACA ACCA, ACMA) 1 year post qualification experience in a similar senior role in an organization with similar scale and complexity of operations would be a distinct advantage.
Technical knowledge in the areas of financial accounting and reporting management accounting and financial planning, general business, information technology and taxation.
