Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and reputable company in the FMCG sector to recruit an accountant. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller and Senior Management Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow with the company and progress into a Financial Controller position. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, experience with SAGE software, and the ability to manage their workload efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Process supplier invoices, credits, and prepare payment files Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and general ledger postings Record bank transactions and manage reconciliations Balance sheet management and account reconciliations Assist in VAT returns and external audits Oversee payroll processing and liaise with HR for record-keeping Contribute to IT initiatives and ongoing finance projects Desirable Skills: Minimum 2 years' experience in an SME environment Proficiency in SAGE and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience in the FMCG sector is an advantage Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills Desire for continuous improvement and initiative-driven This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven accountant to join a supportive and dynamic team.
