Job Description
Accountant role in Galway, supporting Chief Financial Officer and Senior Management team with accurate cost and margin information.
As a key member of the plant finance team, you will own and advise on product cost and inventory related matters, ensuring costings are accurately reflected in the company ERP system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and informative product cost and margin information to management
- Operate costing system, maintaining complete information to ensure labour and overhead is correctly absorbed
- Provide analysis and support to production to help drive improved performance and efficiency
- Ensure process documentation is clear and up to date
Requirements:
- Understanding and experience of cost accounting, particularly actual cost, margins, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Ability to seamlessly fit in with the existing team and work well with other functions
- Adaptability to focus on immediate priorities combined with the ability to work with other functions whilst also supporting management with solid analysis and reports
- Ability to communicate effectively and with clarity and respect with many different stakeholder groups
