What You Need to Know Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Accountanton behalf of our client, a leading company in the agricultural sector based in Tipperary. This is a key role in the finance team, offering an opportunity to work on a variety of financial tasks, from financial reporting to managing control accounts and working on key finance projects. Your New Job Key duties and responsibilities: Post month-end journals, prepare accruals and prepayments journals and prepare VAT returns in a timely manner. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register. Collaborate with the warehouse manager on quarterly stock counts. Compile quarterly and monthly financial accounts. Reconcile control accounts on a monthly basis. Carry out general ledger analysis to ensure accurate cost allocation. Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and assist with audit file preparation. Contribute to cash flow and budget preparation. Assist with finance-related IT improvement projects. Undertake other ad hoc duties as required. What Are We Looking For? Accounting qualification. Proven experience in an accounting role. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. IT proficient with experience in Excel and Sage.
