Accounting Technician Organisation:
Doras Bu Community resource centre Hours:28 Hours Reporting to: CEO Contract: Permanent (subject to funding)

Salary€42,000 - €45,000 (Pro-rata) Annual Leave:25 days (Pro-rata based on 35 hours)

Bunratty Drive, Coolock, Dublin D17 TF63 Probationary period:6 Months from start date Overview of Doras Bu Doras Bu is a community development resource centre & early years Service, that provides high-quality supports and programmes to families living in the North-East Dublin area.


We aim to support lone parent families to extend their life choices, overcome discrimination and isolation and become socially and economically independent.


Job Summary We are seeking a detail orientated and analytical individual with a minimum of 2-3 years experience to join our team.


The successful candidate will work as a member of our senior management team and will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and financial information.

Ensuring that financial reporting is produced in accordance with best practice is a key focus of the role.

The person will support the senior management team, other sub-committees, programme teams with Grants Acquisition and Management.


The role will involve all aspects of finance including: Recording transactions on Sage 50 and monthly reconciliations (income and expenditure) Completion of financial funder reports in accordance with funder agreements including statutory bodies.


Preparation of year end accounts and liaise with auditors Preparation of annual budgets Processing and payment of payroll /revenue payments Dealing with financial correspondence Assisting with quarterly Management Accounts preparation Managing clocking system Day to day operation of finance function Supporting staff with general personal HR enquiries Work with the CEO & BOM to design and implement the finance strategy.


Maintenance of finance policies and procedures for review by the CEO Prepare monthly reports and attend BOM meetings Implementation of SORP accounts Support/develop and financially manage funding grants for the Finance and Audit Committee, as necessary Form part of the senior management team and provide support as required Proactively identify areas for improvements within the organization Act in accordance with the Data Protection principals Note: This job description is not a definitive list of tasks; rather it is designed to give an overview of the job.
