Accounts Advisory Director Are you an experienced Accountant looking for the next step in your career? This exciting opportunity could be for you. Why McInerney Saunders? We are an established Irish Top 20 Accountancy firm who have recently been acquired by Dains Accountants, a UK Group with over 650 employees and a projected turnover this year of over £50M. We have been providing accountancy, taxation and business advice to a range of Irish and international companies for nearly four decades. We expect substantial growth in 2024 both organically and through acquisition. Our turnover currently is €6M and we are staffed by 55 exceptional professional staff and administrators. The Accounts Advisory Director will support our clients with audit exempt compliance and work on various advisory projects for a predominately owner-managed SME client base. Your Key Responsibilities as an Accounts Advisory Director: Manage the department's resources, including assisting with the recruitment of team members. Prepare, review and discuss team members' individual performance appraisals and reviews. Be responsible for leading ad hoc projects and client engagements. Identify value-added services for the clients' benefit of both tax and business nature. Identify cross-selling opportunities to other departments by examining the financial information available and making necessary enquiries with the client engagement partner. Be the day-to-day point of contact for your clients. Client lead reporting directly to partners. Meet annual chargeable targets and monitor WIP levels, recoveries, and debtors. Assist in budgeting and forecasting for the department. Provide reliable management information to support decision making. Skills and Qualifications You Need: Qualified to the appropriate level for the role (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) and have the ability to demonstrate expertise in the role, sharing skills and knowledge with the team. Highly diligent with excellent attention to detail. Awareness of the current auditing and accounting standards. Experience in software and systems such as Practice Engine, Accounts IQ, Surf Account, Sage is desirable, but not essential. Understanding of relevant Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and any other relevant packages.
