Job Description

Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland's largest Irish owned consultants with centers of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Energy, Planning, Circular Economy and Environment. FT currently has a role opening for an Accounts Assistant reporting to the Financial Controller in our Cork Office. FT's Responsibilities Bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations and posting Assist with Monthly Management Accounts preparation along with month end and quarterly reporting Accounts payable (matching Purchase Invoices with Purchase Orders prior to processing and making payments, allocating payments and reconciling supplier statements on a regular basis) Manage staff expenses claims Assisting with sales invoicing Liaise with Project Managers to ensure accurate monitoring and control of budgets for the financial management of projects Month end journal preparation and posting Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required Skills / Qualifications Qualified Accounting Technician/part-qualified Accountant desirable but not essential Knowledge of SAGE 200 is necessary Knowledge of Project Accounting system would be an advantage but not necessary The candidate should be a high-energy individual with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Excel Key attributes also necessary include efficient work methods, working both as part of a team and on own initiative and good interpersonal skills An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate including a competitive salary, shorter working Friday, medical benefit, hybrid working and professional body support.
