Part Qualified Accountant/Finance Support Administrator

Our client, a well-established public sector organization, is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant/Finance Support Administrator for a 3-6 month contract with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of the fixed asset register
  • Perform payroll reconciliations between the finance package and payroll system
  • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare supporting papers for the audit file
  • Scan and import bank statements into the finance system
  • Support Finance Officer and Finance Support Officer with year-end file preparation
  • Reconcile profit centres to the financial statements
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the accounts office
  • Prepare supporting notes to the financial statements with full audit trail
  • Break down annual budgets into phased CSV files for import into the finance system
  • Conduct analysis between payroll data and monthly management accounts

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified Accountant, Accounting Technician or relevant 3rd level qualification
  • 4 years experience in a financial administration, accounting, or a similar role
  • Proficiency with finance software and payroll systems
  • Knowledge of audit processes and financial reconciliations
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Prior experience working in the public sector is an advantage
