Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Group Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and enhance the accounts payable operations across the organisation. This role requires a strategic leader to manage multiple team leaders and drive continuous process improvement within the department. Job Responsibilities: Lead the Accounts Payable (AP) and Employee Expense Team Leaders, providing clear communication, guidance, training, and performance management. Oversee the full cycle of Employee Expense and AP processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation. Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy within the department. Collaborate with procurement and project teams to ensure smooth approval and payment processes. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, promptly addressing any payment-related issues. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for AP and Employee Expense functions, identifying and implementing areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards. Participate in audits, providing necessary documentation and support. Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple teams within Accounts Payable. Proven track record in reviewing and improving AP and Employee Expense processes. Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices in accounts payable. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Desirable Skills: Experience with industry-specific software, particularly within construction, is advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferable. Working Hours & Benefits: Competitive salary. 26+ days of annual leave.
