Accounts Payable Specialist 11 Month Contract - Shannon CREGG are currently recruiting for accounts candidates for this Accounts Payable Specialist role with our client based in Shannon. The successful candidate will work onsite in the Finance Department, covering maternity leave on an 11-month contract. Key Responsibilities: Process and verify invoices and payment requests for accuracy and completeness Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts, reconciling any discrepancies Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and general ledger coding Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and resolve payment-related problems in a timely and professional manner Preparation and submission of payment runs Maintenance of supplier records in compliance with Internal Controls Monthly VAT and Intrastat reporting & reconciliation Monthly journal processing Full ownership of Accounts Payable module close, to include reconciliation of Accounts Payable and GRN control accounts. Coordination with AR partner on external recharges Internal Spend Reporting Other ad-hoc tasks Requirements and Skills Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines Team player with the ability to work on own initiative Effective communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office in particular Microsoft Excel.
