Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Accounts Payable team, ensuring the timely processing of supplier invoices, resolving discrepancies, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing:
    • Process supplier invoices within the designated timeframe.
    • Resolve issues and discrepancies on pending invoices and credit notes.
    • Ensure timely resolution of query invoices.
    • Identify root cause issues and implement solutions with the processing team.
  • Reconciliations:
    • Review and approve creditors reconciliations.
    • Ensure accounting accuracy.
    • Identify root cause issues and implement solutions with the reconciling team.
    • Analyse complex data to identify relevant issues.
  • Supervision:
    • Ensure policies and procedures are followed by outsource partners.
    • Review daily, weekly, and monthly AP performance reports.
    • Review the closing AP ledger in accordance with the month-end/quarter-end close timetable.
  • Budgeting:
    • Review and prepare monthly accruals and prepayments.
    • Assist in setting future budgets.
  • Other:
    • Oversee ongoing projects to solve AP-related system interface issues.
    • Review and approve payments (RCT).
    • Assist with year-end audit preparation.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable.
