Your new company: Your new company is within the packaging industry based in Dublin West who are hiring, an Accounts Technician on a permanent basis. Your new role: An exciting opportunity is available for an Accounts Technician at their Dublin site. This multi-functional role supports the Regional Controller in producing accurate management accounts and deputising when needed. Responsibilities include handling purchasing and accounts payable, preparing intrastat and VAT returns, accruals, prepayments, stock, and ad hoc journals. The role also involves preparing various reports for HQ and senior management, assisting with audits, and covering receivables and payroll as required. What you'll need to succeed: Candidates should be part qualified or a finalist working towards a recognised accountancy qualification Candidates must be self-motivated, possess a strong commercial focus and capable of working unsupervised Previous industry or practice experience is essential Previous Experience in SAP accounting desirable Possess analytical and problem-solving skills Able to demonstrate a positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic style Confident in delivering high quality, accurate output to tight deadlines Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work in a busy environment An excellent team player Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements and support business needs Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent IT skills - particularly in Excel.
