Active Travel Engineer *Dublin* Active Travel Engineer with 5+ years experience needed to join a highly respected, Engineering Consultancy whose goal is to provide a challenging, progressive and inclusive work environment which fosters personal leadership, career growth and development for every employee. The successful Civil Engineer will also be involved on Highways and Active Travel projects across Ireland and the UK. Duties: The successful Active Travel Engineer will work in a civil team and liaise with other engineers and technicians. You will be involved in design of highways and active travel across Ireland and the UK including walking and cycling infrastructure. You will be responsible for design of Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS), Highway Geomatic Design. You will have working knowledge of Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS), Cycle Design Manual, The Traffic Signs Manual and NTA Project Approval Guidelines and Cost Manegement Guidelines Transport. The successful Active Travel Engineer will attend some site visits The Successful Active Travel Engineer will be responsible for the preparation of designs, technical specifications and contract documents. Requirements: Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. The successful Active Travel Engineer should have post graduate Civil Engineering experience within an engineering consultancy and experience in highway design. Experience working on Active Travel Projects The successful Active Travel Engineer will be experienced in communicating effectively and have the ability to prioritise and manage work load effectively. Attention to detail and ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems is essential. Member of, or eligible to join, Engineers Ireland Full clean driving licence for occasional client visits.
