Job Description
Activity Coordinator role involves providing meaningful activities and stimulation to residents in a nursing home setting.
emeis Ireland is the largest Nursing Home Group and a market leader in Ireland for elderly care. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Activity Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily activities that cater to individual residents' interests and abilities.
- Assess and acknowledge individual differences between residents.
- Encourage participation in activities that promote wellness and enjoyment.
- Organise weekly activity schedules and ensure volunteers and external performers are informed.
- Provide supervision and ensure safety during activities.
- Provide a friendly and caring service to residents, family members, and visitors.
- Assist in delivering a high standard of service and promoting residents' health and safety.
- Ensure privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of residents.
- Report changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse.
- Maintain a safe environment and promote a clean and hygienic environment.
- Respond to emergency situations and attend training programs.
- Abide by the Centre's Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified in QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support level or above.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Committed to health and safety.
- Positive and compassionate attitude.
- High degree of empathy, sensitivity, and patience.
- Ability to follow complex procedures and instructions.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
