Vhi Group Services DAC have a full-time, permanent, vacancy has arisen for the role of Actuarial Analyst based in either Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will support the development of actuarial modelling and reporting and provide actuarial support to a range of business areas. Role Purpose Analysis historical business performance to identify key drivers of underlying trends Model future business performance projections and target-setting Carry out reserving tasks and support the development of segment and product profitability models Support the financial and modelling inputs required for the development of new products and services and also to support overall business strategy Provide pricing support for our range of products Provide general actuarial support to other areas of the business Work closely with wider business functions such as the financial modelling and data science teams The successful candidate must have: A relevant primary degree in an Actuarial related field Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills SQL, VBA & Tableau experience would be advantageous Have clearly demonstrated keen analytical skills and have experience in relevant data analysis packages (coding) Have a specialised mathematical knowledge of calculus, statistics and probability Proven well-developed problem solving skills Strong business sense including excellent and proven financial skills Excellent accuracy & attention to detail is critical as this information is used to inform business decisions and influence strategy Have the capability to work under pressure either independently or within a team. Have demonstrable excellent oral and written communication skills Highly motivated and results focussed.
