About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive private client advisor/financial planning consultant to join our team in Cork. As a Financial Planning Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Advising individuals on all aspects of managing their wealth and related financial planning needs
- Developing relationships with existing corporate clients and providing expert financial planning advice to employees
- Generating new business opportunities from their client base, including sourcing new individual clients from external channels
- Maintaining a detailed sales pipeline and keeping accurate records of meetings and advice process
- Working with team colleagues to optimize Mercer's service and brand
- Maintaining relevant qualifications through CPD and adhering to regulatory requirements in the provision of financial advice
- Assisting in the development of current and new financial planning services or products
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 7+ years experience in individual pensions, life assurance or providing financial planning advice to individuals
- A deep understanding of pensions and investment techniques, including relevant technical qualifications or knowledge
- Commercial awareness and an appetite for reaching sales goals
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships across the business
- Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and satisfaction
- A clean driving license and relevant qualifications, such as QFA or CFP
