Company: Our client, a leader in progressive research in the biotechnology sector, has been helping growers increase their crop yield potential since its foundation. Based in north Kerry, the company has an established local and export business in crop protection related products. Opportunity: They are seeking a motivated recent graduate to join their team as an Administration & Operations Support Specialist. This role is perfect for a young professional looking to kickstart their career in a dynamic and growing area of the agri sector. The position focuses on documentation, administrative duties related to regulatory compliance and quality control, and a range of activities essential for keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. Training will be provided for 3-6 months. Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and maintenance of documentation for regulatory compliance, including tracking Environmental Waste, monitoring Quality Control, and supporting audits. * Ensure all Health & Safety (H&S) related accreditations are up to date, such as manual handling, forklift driving, and hazardous chemical usage. * Perform day-to-day administration tasks, such as managing production job orders, dispatch paperwork, and labeling. * Conduct internal quality audits and manage records to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements, including compliance with upcoming EU directives on traceability. * Compile and analyze data for quality reports and audits, and assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and policies. * Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing correspondence, and collaborating with various departments. * Learn to drive a forklift to assist with operational needs, such as unloading and loading trucks during staff holidays. * Support the tracking of all consumables, including seaweed, packaging materials, and fuel consumption, in preparation for mandatory reporting in 2025. Candidate Requirements: * A degree or level 5/6 qualification in Biotechnology, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. * Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. * A good understanding of regulatory requirements in the biotech industry is a plus. * Ability to drive a forklift would be a plus. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Analytical and problem-solving skills. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a small, hands-on team of 10. * Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, including acquiring practical skills such as forklift operation. * An active, hands-on approach is required due to the physical element of the role. Remuneration: Provided salary for this role is in the area of €30,000 p.a.
