Job Description

Experienced IT Service Delivery Manager sought to lead IT operations and deliver high-quality support services to internal stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from the Dublin office and remotely.

The successful candidate will manage a wide range of IT activities, from helpdesk operations to infrastructure management and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support a small IT team focused on helpdesk support, information security, and compliance tasks.
  • Service Desk Management: Oversee the IT helpdesk, ensuring efficient ticket handling and support for business needs.
  • Infrastructure Support: Manage infrastructure, including capacity planning, patch management, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Network Support: Provide first-level network support and escalate issues to global teams or vendors when necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT service providers, ensuring service levels are met and processes are optimised.
  • Continuous Improvement: Document and enhance IT support processes for improved efficiency.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of end-user satisfaction by providing prompt, professional IT support services.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, databases, and applications in practical settings.
  • Problem Solver: Curious and thrives on solving complex challenges while continuously learning new skills.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in software application management, with experience in Agile frameworks and cross-functional team management.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Flexible: A pragmatic operator, adaptable to various tasks and responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A third-level degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software delivery or IT service management, ideally within the fleet management, leasing, or automotive sectors.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to address complex technical challenges.
  • Experience in managing IT service providers and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their application in a business context.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a small team and collaborate across global and local teams.
