Job Description

A vacancy has arisen at Blackrock Health, Galway Clinic for an Allied Health Administrator. The role is on a temporary (12 months) part-time basis, working 29.5 hours per week. The Role: Setting up patient accounts, pre-registering and registering patients Management of appointments Prioritise calls, take messages and screen calls Deal with ad-hoc patient requests Reception of patients Prepare and Maintain confidential records of patients using Meditech Transcribe/File/Organise patient files for clinics Assist with referrals and insurance verifications Co-ordinate Billing, Processing Monitoring of patient charges and Issue of receipts Interface with referring physicians /other referring agents Maintain e-mail/catalogue distribution lists General clerical/administrative roles Monitor and maintain department stock/consumables and supplies Organise work station and assist therapists in maintaining clinic in an orderly state Assist in other Administrative departments duties as required Daily transactions of handling money The Candidate: Previous experience in a similar role and database entry highly desirable Strong communication and organizational skills Flexibility and a willingness to respond to the demands of the organization Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively Strong computer skills The Galway Clinic is an equal opportunities employer Skills: Experience Communication Flexibility
