We would like to invite applications for the following 39 Hour, Specified Purpose contract position (To Cover Absence):Assisted Living Services - Scheduling OfficerKildare / West Wicklow / Lucan / MidlandsP194335567Base location will be agreed within this area with successful candidateOverall Purpose of JobYou will be required to support the delivery of Assisted Living Services (ALS) to adults with physical disabilities and ensure that a quality person-centered continuous service is delivered.Assisted Living service is a home care service operated in a person’s own home providing supports for daily living in the community. This will be achieved through close collaboration with the ALS teams and other IWA colleagues nationally and by effective communication with staff and members.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain effective staff rosters to ensure continuous service delivery.Assist with scheduling and matching members' requirements with existing Personal Assistant staff and source relief cover.Manage incoming calls to the service.Schedule staff cover for absences caused by training, sick leave, annual leave, and long-term leave.Maintain absence management/other relevant records on all ALS systems, providing regular reports to line manager.Support the setup of new services from referral to commencement.Support the monitoring and evaluation of services.Maintain regular contact with members and ALS staff regarding day-to-day changes or as directed.Support with recruitment, selection, induction and training and development for the Assisted Living Services staff.Maintain direct contact with members and staff.Ensure Health & Safety standards and practices are maintained.Understand and adhere to established IWA policies and procedures.To operate at all times in a flexible and efficient manner.Carry out day-to-day administrative duties using IWA service systems (training will be provided).Carry out any other relevant and appropriate duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time by the Service Coordinator.PERSON SPECIFICATIONTraining, Experience and QualificationsMinimum qualification at QQI Level 6 or higher such as QQI Supervisory Management Skills, BA in Social Care, Allied Health, Community Development, Disability, Business Management is required.Experience in scheduling and rostering of complex processes is highly desirable.Excellent IT skills essential in particular Microsoft Office.Office and Customer Management experience is desirable.Knowledge and SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize various commitments.Solution-focused and excellent problem-solving skills.An ability to analyze, interpret and present information.Strong attention to detail.BehavioursAn ability to build strong relationships.A team-based, consultative approach and highly flexible approach.Strong Customer Service Focus.Be of good character.Ability to work in a pressurized environment.Display a high degree of flexibility with an ability to quickly adapt to change.Communicating and Influencing.Motivating and Empowering.Planning and Organizing.Quality and Customer Focus.Critical Analysis and Decision Making.Annual Salary between €32,270 to €49,299 PA (DOE).Excellent working conditions.25 days annual leave.Pension Scheme and group VHI & HSF Health Cash Plans.Employee Assistance Service.Closing Date for applications is Monday, 21st October 2024.Documentary evidence of your relevant qualification(s) will be required in advance of or during the recruitment process.INDHP #J-18808-Ljbffr
