We’re opening a new Research & Development Centre in Cork, Ireland, focused on designing software for the company’s comprehensive land mobile radio (LMR) portfolio.You’ll be part of our diverse and experienced global team, developing meaningful solutions that support thousands of public safety agencies and enterprises worldwide.Job DescriptionWe Design and Develop Android applications for mission-critical two-way radios.This role provides an opportunity to apply and expand your skills working with a team of experienced professionals.You will be involved in developing and maintaining Android applications by collaborating with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:Lead/Manage all aspects of the product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation, and testing.Manage engineering and project software for the products.Collaborate with different stakeholders from SW development, System Test, PDM, SCM, Quality, and Hardware.Responsible for timeline alignment and resource management.Ensure project deliverables and timeline requirements are met.Manage team's performance and quality metrics.Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes.Analyze, design, develop, and maintain software for the organization's products and systems.Participate in code reviews, refactoring, and testing activities.Perform software best practices including Unit Test, Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and Knowledge sharing activities.Stay up to date with the latest Android technologies and industry trends.Basic RequirementsRequirements:A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.Thorough knowledge of Android mobile app deployment using Java or Kotlin.Prior experience in version control systems and exposure to Jetpack Compose.Familiarity with a wide range of Android Framework components.Knowledgeable in modern mobile and frontend build pipelines and tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.In return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
