Key responsibilities include:
* Building and managing tools and apps for the Advice Support Unit
* Automating and streamlining processes/tools
* Engaging with stakeholders to drive changes and improvements
* Ensuring the stability of tools and apps through ongoing maintenance
* Identifying opportunities for developments and improvements
* Building and managing calculation tools for the end-to-end testing of our administration system
* Engaging with stakeholders to drive changes and improvements to calculation tools
* Ensuring the stability of calculation tools through ongoing maintenance
* Answering advisor queries on product features and pricing
* Overseeing monthly/quarterly reinsurance settlement
* Manual disclosure and premium calculations
* Interaction with external vendors on manual queries and calculation issues
* Data analysis into trends across ASU, Pricing and Actuarial
We are looking for someone with a financial analysis and coding background, with experience within financial services.
* Understanding of protection, investment and pension products would be beneficial
* Experience building VBA and other computing languages
* Familiarity with APIs would be beneficial
* Experience in managing and building relationships
* Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver large initiatives to tight timelines
* Model development experience with an understanding of coding standards and best practice
* Experience of working with outsourced service providers/third-party administrators would be an advantage
* Understanding of influencing, negotiating, problem solving and communicating complex issues in business environments
