Job Description

Title: Application Support Technician Location: Dublin West Job type: Permanent full-time My client a leading Irish owned and well established software company who develops and provides Banking Software and Online Banking services to over 200 Credit Unions in Ireland and the UK have an opening for two brand new roles on the application and field services team. All down to continued growth and moving over 200 credit unions to the cloud, its an exciting time to join a great team. The successful candidate will have a wide, although not necessarily deep, range of skills and have good problem-solving skills. Any IT certifications would be helpful. S/he will be enthusiastic, eager to learn, professional, have good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and can work on his/her own initiative, as this role will involve driving to customer sites on occasion providing application and technical support throughout upgrades, migrations and implementations along with day to day support when not onsite. Experience in a Windows PC and Server operating systems is necessary. This is a technical role so understanding of networking and experience with installation of software and peripherals is required. Provision of support to users in this environment would be helpful and any development experience or exposure to SQL Server would be a bonus. The role is based in Parkwest Business Park in Dubin. Travel to customer sites within Ireland and Northern Ireland comes with the role. Some infrequent travel to the UK should also be anticipated but all mileage and expenses will be added to salary including hotel and food costs. As travel is a key part of this role, the candidate must have a full, clean driving licence. Responsibilities: Application Support for our application(s) across the entire software/hardware stack. Installation of our software remotely and on-site on users PCs. Administer and resolve support requests from Credit Union users. Investigate and diagnose software and hardware issues. Troubleshoot issues and liaise with different departments, outside vendors and customers to resolve problems. Escalate issues within the company or to third parties when necessary.
