Job Description
The Application Engineer is responsible for providing engine installation testing, application reviews and report, and other documentation. Provides technical support to OEMs, Sales, and other Kubota Europe personnel.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdvise customers about technical issues, product performance, and other concernsTravel to customer locations to perform engine testing and application reviews. Prepare application reports and compile test dataMonitor and recommend new techniques to improve engineering and product performanceConsult with coworker, including those located in Japan, regarding engineering theory, technical issues, and application techniquesCommunicate, organize, and maintain confidential information and materialFollow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and proceduresJob Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to work any activity pro-actively Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.Thorough knowledge of the engineering, mechanics and electronics involved in the installation and operation of diesel and gasoline enginesKnowledge of Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol and diagnosisKnowledge of electrical testing and oscilloscope usageAbility to communicate in a professional manner with managersAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityStrong problem solving and discernment skills for various decisions. Excellent analytical skillsIntermediate knowledge of word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applicationsIntermediate knowledge of CAD and other engineering toolsAbility to travel, possibly overnight, often with last minutes notice; travel internationallyEducation and TrainingAssociate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational training3-5 years’ experience with industrial diesel engines or a similar product; engine installationPhysical DemandsAbility to drive a car and travel by air #J-18808-Ljbffr
