Job Description

Our public sector client, based in Dublin, requires a skilled Applications Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, employed as an agency employee, and paid an hourly rate of €30.17 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development and Customization:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design systems to meet user needs and healthcare standards.
    • Develop, test, and deploy applications using deployment tools.
    • Customise and configure systems to align with hospital and national requirements and workflows.
    • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of systems throughout the implementation.
  • Integration and Interoperability:
    • Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless data exchange between different systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Application Support and Maintenance:
    • Provide technical support and maintenance for the systems, including bug fixes and system updates.
    • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather feedback and implement enhancements.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery.
    • Conduct functional and integration testing to identify and resolve defects or issues.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and manuals.
    • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to effectively use the systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience (between 5 & 7+ years) as a user of healthcare applications or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, industry regulations, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
