Job Description
Microsoft 365 seeks AI practitioners to develop innovative solutions leveraging advanced AI technologies to transform content creation, review, and maintenance.
As an Applied Scientist, you will contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from problem definition to model deployment and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Clearly defining problems and aligning business goals with desired AI outcomes
- Collecting and cleaning datasets for quality and readiness for modeling
- Analyzing data to identify patterns guiding feature selection
- Leveraging domain knowledge to develop features boosting model performance
- Implementing machine learning algorithms to optimize model performance
- Using metrics to evaluate model performance on unseen data
- Integrating models into production systems for efficient operation
- Continuously tracking model performance and iterating based on feedback
- Reporting insights and successes through real-time dashboards
Requirements:
- Possess a foundation in machine learning, supported by demonstrable experience in either industry or academia
- Strong grasp of ML concepts, able to explain both theory and practical applications
- Proficient in NLP techniques, with demonstrated success in project implementations
- Effectively translates academic knowledge into solutions for real-world problems
- Skilled in data analysis using Python, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebooks or similar
- Proficient in.NET or similar, with additional expertise in Python
- Preferred experience in team-based development, utilizing Git for version control and managing release cycles
