The Car Doctor offers the highest level of customer service. As an Irish owned leading independent garage with nearly 20 years behind us we provide our technicians with a wide variety of jobs to challenge them. Our services incorporate vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, parts & accessories. We are now currently recruiting to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in cars who is looking for a career in the motor industry. Experience would be an advantage although full training will be given.

Successful candidate essentials:

  • Have good oral and written English
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent minimum education
  • Drivers licence (provisional licence will be accepted)
  • Keen interest in the motor industry

Main Duties:

  • Working in a fully digital workshop you will complete your work on a provided tablet.
  • Service and VHC work including video will all be captured.
  • Identify any outstanding or due maintenance work or defects.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
  • Recording reports and diagnostic logs with all assessment work.
  • Keep and maintain a clean working area.
  • Manage work flow effectively with diligence and flexible approach.
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
  • Present a consistently professional image and behaviour to both internal and external customers, through attitude, query resolving and personal appearance.
  • An ability to work to high standards.
  • Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
  • Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.

Preferred but not essential (Developmental opportunities):

  • Highly experienced in vehicle diagnostics (Preferred if qualified)
  • A good understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to repair faults on them.
  • Possess strong organizational and planning skills.

  • 26 long weekends per year, closed every Monday. Working Tuesday to Friday and 26 Saturdays per year.

Salary:

  • Year 1 €14,716
  • Year 2 €18,824
  • Year 3 €25,636
  • Year 4 €29,250

Depending on experience.
