About Us: Molans Motors is a well-established, family-run garage in Co. Cork, serving the local community for over 30 years. We specialize in vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics. As we continue to grow, we are looking to add both a Qualified Mechanic and an Apprentice Mechanic to our team. Role Overview: We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our workshop. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, we have a role for you. Apprentices will receive hands-on training and guidance from our experienced mechanics, while qualified mechanics will hit the ground running, applying their skills to keep our customers vehicles in top condition. Key Responsibilities: For both roles, you'll be involved in a range of tasks, including: Vehicle servicing and repairs (brakes, oil changes, tires, etc.) Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues Assisting with or completing more complex repairs (depending on experience) Maintaining a clean and safe workshop Following safety procedures and best practices For the Qualified Mechanic, additional responsibilities include: Leading more advanced repairs (engines, transmissions, electrical systems) Providing guidance and mentoring to apprentices Communicating directly with customers on vehicle issues and repairs Requirements: For Apprentice Mechanics: Genuine interest in cars and learning the trade Willingness to complete an apprenticeship program Good attention to detail and teamwork skills A drivers license is preferred but not essential For Qualified Mechanics: Fully qualified with 2-3 years of experience Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and with a team A full, clean drivers license What We Offer: Competitive salary (based on experience) Full training and support for apprentices Opportunities for career progression Friendly, supportive work environment Long-term job stability with a respected local business Skills: Mechanic Apprentice Mechanic Motor Technician
