Job Summary: Apprentice and Trainee Co-ordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to oversee and manage our apprenticeship program and traineeship offering, ensuring successful implementation and professional growth and development of apprentices and trainees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive apprenticeship and traineeship programs in collaboration with senior leaders, department managers, supervisors, and training providers.
  • Coordinate and develop the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for apprentices and trainees.
  • Liaise with educational institutions and local schools to attract potential candidates.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the programs.
  • Organize and schedule training sessions, workshops, and assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all apprentices and trainees.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and mentorship to apprentices and trainees.
  • Liaise with training providers, industry bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of apprentices and trainees through regular assessments and feedback sessions.
  • Assist in resolving any performance-related issues.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of apprentices and trainees.
  • Assist apprentices and trainees with career planning and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant apprenticeship qualification.
  • Knowledge and technical ability of mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing apprenticeship or traineeship programs is preferred.
  • Capability to provide guidance and support to apprentices and trainees.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accuracy in documentation and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, EPS systems, and other relevant software.
