Job Summary: Apprentice and Trainee Co-ordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to oversee and manage our apprenticeship program and traineeship offering, ensuring successful implementation and professional growth and development of apprentices and trainees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive apprenticeship and traineeship programs in collaboration with senior leaders, department managers, supervisors, and training providers.
- Coordinate and develop the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for apprentices and trainees.
- Liaise with educational institutions and local schools to attract potential candidates.
- Conduct research on industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the programs.
- Organize and schedule training sessions, workshops, and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all apprentices and trainees.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and mentorship to apprentices and trainees.
- Liaise with training providers, industry bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs.
- Monitor the progress and performance of apprentices and trainees through regular assessments and feedback sessions.
- Assist in resolving any performance-related issues.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of apprentices and trainees.
- Assist apprentices and trainees with career planning and development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant apprenticeship qualification.
- Knowledge and technical ability of mechanical and electrical fields.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Experience in managing apprenticeship or traineeship programs is preferred.
- Capability to provide guidance and support to apprentices and trainees.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy in documentation and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, EPS systems, and other relevant software.
