Our mission

TODD Architects are a client focused, multi award-winning practice and we are seeking to appoint architects with Healthcare experience to work with us on exciting projects in the UK and Ireland.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Recent successes have created roles within this team, with several new healthcare commissions in Dublin, London and Belfast for both the Public and Private Healthcare sectors. We are seeking Senior Architects to join our healthcare team. Healthcare design requires specialist skills, where successful projects must combine a deep understanding of medical planning and operational needs, with specific user client aspirations and an appreciation of context and setting. We have been involved in the sector for over forty years, with our experience covering all aspects of healthcare design, from the re-modelling of wards to acute hospital design, from multi-award-winning primary care and wellbeing centres to intensive care units and emergency departments at all stages from inception to completion. The role allows for cross-studio collaboration.

The ideal candidate will be a Senior Qualified Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare design. The salary is subject to experience, skills and location.

Skills and experience required

  • Architect with a minimum 10 years post-qualification experience.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, creative and flexible person who can work well in a team and independently.
  • Previous project experience on healthcare projects is essential.
  • Client liaison and user group engagement experience is essential.
  • A working knowledge of HTM's and HBN's.
  • Autodesk Revit experience desirable, ADB or Codebook, Microsoft Access and Excel skills preferred.
  • Design Conscious with broad technical knowledge and construction detailing experience.
  • A working knowledge of statutory approval processes and Building Regulations required.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and Ireland and be able to take up a full-time role.
  • Hold a current driving licence.
