Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to lead the technical design aspects of Electric Vehicles (EV) projects across our Group.

The role involves collaborating with the Business Development team to design and evolve preliminary designs that align with the commercial business case, and coordinating site surveys, drafting preliminary site layouts, and ensuring compliance with fire, disability, and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electric team in delivering efficient and effective site and building layouts.
  • Preliminary site sketch design for green and brown field sites, ensuring business goals fit within the specific model.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to design and evolve preliminary designs that align with the commercial business case.
  • Coordinate and review site surveys, drafting preliminary site layouts, and ensuring compliance with fire, disability, and technical requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate the site design aspects with professional teams of Architects and Engineers.
  • Document management and control.

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years technical architectural experience, preferably in a civils environment.
  • Advanced skills and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Vehicle Tracking, Microsoft Office (Excel, One Drive, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • General knowledge of building regulations and the overall planning process.
  • Knowledge of roads design, reviewing site opportunities with regards to Zoning, planning, and traffic flows in the UK/US and Ireland.
