Applications are invited for 2 x If and when positions for Porters in the PorteringDepartment of St Vincent's Private Hospital. Normal working hours are 78 hours a fortnight, anytime between 7am and 10pm. Your contracted hours of work will be over seven days to meet the requirements for extended days services in accordance with the term of theFrameworkAgreement. The role will involve the transportation of patients and supplies within the Hospital and St Vincent's University Hospital. The successful application must be flexible in their approach to theirduties including flexible working hours. The post holder must : Essential Criteria Obtained a good standard of education. The ability to work with a team in the delivery of quality care to patients. The ability to work on own initiative Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management,consultant staff, staff, patients and visitors to the Hospital. Competency in the English language is a requirement for the post. IT competent with basic PC skills Minimum of 1 year hospital experience(or similar in a customer facing role) Flexibility and can do attitude Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Performing general Portering duties, including: Transporting patients , specimens, medicines and portable gasesas outlined in the job specification, hospital policies and training provided. Maintaining regular communications and passover with the Portering Officer / Portering Supervisors & colleagues. Reporting any health and safety issues to the Portering Officer or relevant department . Be flexible in terms of hours & days of work, to ensure provision of effective and efficient services . Note: As a member of the Facilities Team you will be required to assist in other departments and your role may vary.
